We’re well into 2016, and the W.O.W. family is already moving forward on several projects and gigs. We’re always looking forward and excited for what’s coming up next. But listen, 2016 is also the year that we mark 15 years of bringing you music!
The “Introduction EP” was released in 2001 with the description, “Detroit-based Women On Wax Recordings drops its first release courtesy of label honcho DJ Minx.” Since then, we’ve produced an additional 19 releases, collaborated with a multitude of Detroit DJs and musicians. Minx has toured the country and the world, all the while raising a family and holding down a full-time career. Not bad for 15 years.
So, as we embark on another year of opportunity, let all of us take a moment to reflect and be thankful. None of us would be here if it weren’t for the hard work and determination of DJ Minx, and the love and appreciation from all of you. We couldn’t have done it without you.
